My PST File Reached 50GB: What is the Best Way to Reduce It?
by Yatacel581 yatacel - Tuesday, 28 October 2025, 11:28 PM

Hi everyone, I have been using Outlook for a long time, and recently, my PST file size reached around 50GB. Because of this, Outlook has started running very slowly, and sometimes it even freezes while sending or receiving emails. I am worried it might get corrupted if the size increases further. Can someone please suggest the best and safest way to reduce the PST file size without losing any emails or data? I have heard about archiving and compacting, but I am not sure which method works best or if there are reliable tools to make the process easier.

If your PST file has grown to 50GB or more and Outlook is running slow, don't worry. DataVare Outlook PST Compact Expert Tool can help.

  • This tool compresses and shrinks your PST file without data loss.
  • You can save attachments separately to further reduce the file size.
  • It's compatible with all versions of Outlook.
  • Easy to use, fast, and 100% secure.

I used this tool myself, and my large PST file shrank in just a few minutes. If you also want to improve Outlook performance, be sure to try the PST Compress Tool.
