This issue typically occurs due to large files containing several thousand contacts in a single VCF file format. Smaller VCF files will perform better than larger ones and will be easier to open on different platforms. All of the contact information contained in the original file (i.e., name, phone number, and email) will also remain intact and unchanged after the VCF files are split.
