How to convert MSG files into PST

To convert MSG files into PST, you have two options: manual or automated tools.​

Manual method

  • Create a new folder in Outlook, then drag and drop all MSG files into it; Outlook stores them inside the default PST or an exportable PST.​
  • Alternatively, copy MSG files from Windows Explorer and paste into the Outlook folder; then use Outlook's Export to create a PST if needed.​

Limitations

  • Manual steps are slow for bulk data and may risk integrity or version compatibility issues; Outlook must be installed.​

Automated tools
